These terms apply to everyone who uses the DriveBox Connect app ("DriveBox", "the app"). By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
DriveBox has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, send or share anything that is:
- abusive, bullying, harassing, threatening or intimidating
- hateful or discriminatory, including about race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or age
- sexual, obscene or offensive
- violent, dangerous, or encourages illegal or unsafe driving
- spam, scams, or requests for money that aren't for genuine lessons
- false, misleading, or impersonating someone else
- someone else's personal information shared without their permission
This applies to messages, community posts and replies, profiles, photos and lesson notes.
2. How we keep DriveBox safe
- Filtering: the app automatically blocks messages and posts that contain offensive language.
- Reporting: you can report any person, message or community post in the app. Reports go straight to the DriveBox team.
- Blocking: you can block anyone. They can no longer message you or send you a request, you won't see each other's content, and the DriveBox team is told.
- We act within 24 hours: we review every report within 24 hours. If content breaks these terms we remove it, and we suspend or permanently remove the account of the person who posted it.
- Instructor checks: every driving instructor's ADI or PDI badge is checked by DriveBox before they can use the app.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Driving instructor accounts are for Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) and trainee instructors (PDIs) with a valid trainee licence. You must keep your badge details up to date.
- DriveBox is not intended for children under 13. Learners under 18 should involve a parent or guardian when booking and paying for lessons.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account.
4. Lessons, instructors and payments
- Instructors on DriveBox are self-employed and are not employed by DriveBox. Lessons, prices, cancellations and refunds are agreed between the learner and the instructor.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. Payments go to the instructor's own Stripe account, and a small booking fee is added at checkout. DriveBox is not a party to the agreement between learner and instructor.
- Always do your own checks before booking or paying, and never pay someone you can't verify.
5. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove any account, and remove any content, that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, without notice. If you think we've made a mistake, email support@drivebox.uk.
6. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep DriveBox running and safe, but the app is provided "as is". We're not responsible for the lessons themselves, for what users say or do, or for arrangements made between learners and instructors. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law, or our liability where it can't legally be limited.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your information.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we'll tell you in the app and ask you to agree again. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
